Sergiu Cobâlcescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Zogreanu in the 3rd minute of play. Sergiu Cobâlcescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelian Zogreanu in the 6th minute of the match. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ionuț Măcriș hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Iván Zamorano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergiu Cobâlcescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iván Zamorano took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergiu Cobâlcescu. Sergiu Cobâlcescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice moves Iván Zamorano could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Sergiu Cobâlcescu however easily saved by the left post. In the 24th minute, Aurelian Zogreanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sergiu Cobâlcescu. The goal made the score 3-0. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Sergiu Cobâlcescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Minerul Baita -MM- from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Tjernström in the 29th minute of play forced Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Sergiu Cobâlcescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergiu Cobâlcescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Zamorano, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Cédric Payen put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Stanimir Dragnev. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Iván Zamorano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ninjas in Pyjamas's supporters rose to their feet, but Iván Zamorano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergiu Cobâlcescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iván Zamorano got free with Sergiu Cobâlcescu in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelian Zogreanu to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cédric Payen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ninjas in Pyjamas's zone, Dudu Georgescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanimir Dragnev came out of the goal and Dudu Georgescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Iván Zamorano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Sergiu Cobâlcescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Şendrea came free, but Stanimir Dragnev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Iván Zamorano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ninjas in Pyjamas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iván Zamorano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 minutes, Eugeniusz Mnich mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minerul Baita -MM- and the Ninjas in Pyjamas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Codruț Podgoreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cédric Payen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanimir Dragnev having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Ionică Şendrea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stanimir Dragnev, 4-2. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Stanimir Dragnev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xalo Camara in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Florin Griguță hit a great ball. Stanimir Dragnev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Şendrea, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Stanimir Dragnev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xalo Camara in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Ionuț Măcriș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas booed when Minerul Baita -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogi Miner didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogi Miner in the 95th minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Stanimir Dragnev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Minerul Baita -MM-'s supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ninjas in Pyjamas had won, even though Minerul Baita -MM- had held more of the ball.
