After 3 played minutes Ninjas in Pyjamas got a freekick which was hit by Rilind Mena. After a rather tough play, Raureni Academy's Marin Puric got a free kick in the 8th minute. Marin Puric hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Jerônimo Lira, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Călin Barbosu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Zamorano, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Aurelian Zogreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Barbosu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raureni Academy's Călin Barbosu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván Zamorano in the 25th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Jerônimo Lira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ninjas in Pyjamas and the Raureni Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the game, Iván Zamorano landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 32 minutes into the game, Petrică Tărău was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raureni Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ninjas in Pyjamas the free kick. The referee gave Ninjas in Pyjamas a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jerônimo Lira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Raureni Academy's Călin Barbosu. 0-4. Călin Barbosu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Szczepan Barycz's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Szczepan Barycz might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Călin Barbosu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Szczepan Barycz ran back to his position shaking his head. Raureni Academy's Călin Barbosu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szczepan Barycz in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Zogreanu in the 44th minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Călin Barbosu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes, Marin Puric mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Raureni Academy and the Ninjas in Pyjamas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marin Puric hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cazimir Traian was the one to do the kick off. Raureni Academy's Călin Barbosu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szczepan Barycz in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Jerônimo Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Muscă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Szczepan Barycz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Cazimir Traian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Stanimir Dragnev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Călin Barbosu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Szczepan Barycz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 65 minute of play. Szczepan Barycz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Szczepan Barycz sped through Raureni Academy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Călin Barbosu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mugur Muscă during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Raureni Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Muscă to maneuver through the defense. Călin Barbosu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelian Zogreanu in the 83rd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Aurelian Zogreanu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Călin Barbosu. Aurelian Zogreanu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Szczepan Barycz hit a great ball. Stanimir Dragnev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Traian in the 93rd minute of the match. The supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Puric didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ninjas in Pyjamas played a much better game than Raureni Academy and deserved their victory. The Raureni Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
