Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Basarab Panduru started the match with the kick off. The supporters of New York Red Bulls booed when ★RO★ NEW VISION ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Vlas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viorel Joldea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Panduru in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Basarab Panduru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute Claudiu Aristide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Pereyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Novăceanu came free, but Eduardo Pereyra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, New York Red Bulls's Berkan Temel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viorel Joldea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Eduard Vlas came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eduardo Pereyra could save by the left post. Eduardo Pereyra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduard Vlas went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to New York Red Bulls getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Basarab Panduru hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, Claudiu Aristide recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eduardo Pereyra. Claudiu Aristide showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Frank Rijkaard charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Rijkaard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes New York Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Frank Rijkaard. Vlad Olaru's late challenge caught a New York Red Bulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vlad Olaru helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave New York Red Bulls a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Berkan Temel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ★RO★ NEW VISION ®'s Viorel Joldea. 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduard Vlas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Eduard Vlas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Pereyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Tăutu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes, ★RO★ NEW VISION ®'s Eduard Vlas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ★RO★ NEW VISION ® reached it. Viorel Joldea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Rijkaard in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berkan Temel in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viorel Joldea saved ★RO★ NEW VISION ® from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in ★RO★ NEW VISION ®'s zone, Frank Rijkaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viorel Joldea came out of the goal and Frank Rijkaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berkan Temel in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viorel Joldea saved ★RO★ NEW VISION ® from getting behind. Basarab Panduru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, ★RO★ NEW VISION ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Olaru to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, ★RO★ NEW VISION ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Berkan Temel came free, but Viorel Joldea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
