The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucian Alexandrescu made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Sorin Răduța sent off a good shot on target. After 34 played minutes Peretu City 09 got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Năstase. Oromë Vala struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Lucian Alexandrescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Valar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgil Meleșcanu to make the kick off. In the 74th minute of the match, Vito Silva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Francisc Ghionescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Tulkas Vala put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lucian Alexandrescu. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Dan Deleanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peretu City 09's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Deleanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisc Ghionescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
