The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Andrea Gabor sped through Alexandria Team08's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Laurențiu Popescu. In the 16thth minute of the game Constantin Mihu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alexandria Team08's Laurențiu Popescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandria Team08's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Spirea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mădălin Apostu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dacian Muncelean hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.
