Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisc Jităreanu started the match with the kick off. Petre Baicea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavius Pătrășcanu in the 5th minute of the match. Gheorghe Craioveanu hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Isac Floricel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Gavrilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balavanis were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Emerald's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Codrin Lăzărescu took the corner. Balavanis's Codrin Lăzărescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Isac Floricel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Balavanis's Petre Baicea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Diculescu in the 12th minute of play. Isac Floricel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Gavrilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 played minutes Emerald got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Râznicu. After having played for 20 minutes, Marin Gavrilă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balavanis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Gavrilă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Emerald getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Isac Manciulescu hit a great ball. Francisc Jităreanu's late challenge caught a Balavanis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisc Jităreanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisc Jităreanu to maneuver through the defense. After 31 minutes, Marin Gavrilă made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Emerald's Isac Floricel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Isac Floricel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Gavrilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th match minute, Balavanis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Lăzărescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Francisc Jităreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Baicea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciprian Pavel hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Codrin Lăzărescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gigi Văcăroiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Isac Floricel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Balavanis booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Diculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petre Baicea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Jităreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isac Floricel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Codrin Lăzărescu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Craioveanu in the 75th minute of play forced Balavanis's goalkeeper Petre Baicea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Diculescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Petre Baicea made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Gigi Văcăroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Balavanis's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Jităreanu came free, but Petre Baicea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Flavius Pătrășcanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marin Gavrilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Codrin Lăzărescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isac Floricel having to make a save. Isac Floricel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Gavrilă in the 94th minute of play. Balavanis's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
