In the 3rd minute of the match Tudor Feroiu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogdan Stelea skillfully saved the ball. Denis Alibert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Panait Iorgu made a huge save. In the 10th minute of the match, Mihai Hoancă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Panait Iorgu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aurel Ortacu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ★POLI★™★VIOLA★'s Stelian Hidiș got a free kick in the 16th minute. With an all-out effort, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Panait Iorgu threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mihai Hoancă, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Irinel Culiță might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panait Iorgu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Irinel Culiță ran back to his position shaking his head. Tudor Feroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Panait Iorgu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Denis Alibert. After 22 minutes, Stelian Hidiș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ and the DINAMO PLOIESTI players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stelian Hidiș kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Panait Iorgu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Culiță in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gigi Stanciu in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Stelea saved DINAMO PLOIESTI from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Gigi Stanciu put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bogdan Stelea. In the 28th minute of the game, Andrei Dinculescu landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Irinel Culiță's late challenge caught a ★POLI★™★VIOLA★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irinel Culiță helped the player get up and apologised. ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ made a substitution. Petrică Tiberiu replaced Andrei Dinculescu. In the 30th minute, Irinel Culiță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigi Stanciu in the 32nd minute of play forced DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 played minutes DINAMO PLOIESTI got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Nișu. With his leg Panait Iorgu managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when DINAMO PLOIESTI's Denis Alibert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Codrin Turbatu made the kick off in the second half. Gigi Stancius short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Bogdan Stelea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 53 minutes into the match, DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigi Stanciu. ★POLI★™★VIOLA★'s Panait Iorgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Sima in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute Irinel Culiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Iorgu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Bădulescu's late challenge caught a ★POLI★™★VIOLA★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. During the 90th minute of the match Stelian Hidiș completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Stelian Hidiș a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 91st minute, Stelian Hidiș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Emanuel Bădulescu got a free kick in the 93rd minute. A hard shot 95 in the game by Codrin Turbatu from a close distance when the talented Bogdan Stelea managed to make a qualified save. DINAMO PLOIESTI's players were relieved. The ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
