In the 4th minute Adrian Zbora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Nuțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Franky Ooms's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valer Nuțu was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 9thth minute of the game Franky Ooms who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's Adrian Zbora sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valer Nuțu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 24 minutes, Franky Ooms made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Valer Nuțu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franky Ooms's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxim Strugure during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Strugure. A collision led to Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Vali Aurelianu hit a great ball. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Benitez in the 34th minute of play. Augusto Benitez took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Benitez in the 39th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Valer Nuțu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valer Nuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franky Ooms in the 41st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Franky Ooms's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valer Nuțu was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Valer Nuțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franky Ooms stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Franky Ooms in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Valer Nuțu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 71st minute, Maxim Strugure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buffalo Timişoara's Valentin Voicu was substituted for Franky Ooms. Buffalo Timişoara's Călin Borogeanu was substituted for Ignacy Cerocki. Valentin Voicu might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valer Nuțu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Valentin Voicu scored to the left of an out of position Valer Nuțu, making the score, 0-6. In the 79th minute, Augusto Benitez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentin Voicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wawrzyniec Pysz got free with Valer Nuțu in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Voicu in the 85th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Adrian Zbora notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
