If Juha-Pekka Joenväärä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lavrits Bjørnfalk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaarle Väätäinen in the 13th minute of play. ATOWN's Lavrits Bjørnfalk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save ATOWN from getting a goal against them. Eilif Hofsø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niilo Vähäsavo having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Savon Palloseura's Jan Kuokkanen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 32nd minute, Kaarle Väätäinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tauno Kivimäki got free with Lavrits Bjørnfalk in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lavrits Bjørnfalk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juha-Pekka Joenväärä, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Kosti Kukkonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lavrits Bjørnfalk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eilif Hofsø hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Kaarle Väätäinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lavrits Bjørnfalk having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Juha-Pekka Joenväärä mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savon Palloseura and the ATOWN players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes Savon Palloseura got a freekick which was hit by Juha-Pekka Joenväärä. Jan Kuokkanen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Lavrits Bjørnfalk made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eilif Hofsø made a kick off. Lavrits Bjørnfalk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaarle Väätäinen in the 52nd minute of play. Lavrits Bjørnfalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heikki Niinimaa in the 54th minute of the match. If Kaarle Väätäinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lavrits Bjørnfalk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juha-Pekka Joenväärä, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 71 minutes on the clock, Oskar Valsgard commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in ATOWN fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Savon Palloseura. Viljami Rajamäki stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lavrits Bjørnfalk. 4-0. Lavrits Bjørnfalk came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Savon Palloseura's Kaarle Väätäinen. But to his dismay, Kaarle Väätäinen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Lavrits Bjørnfalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Kuokkanen in the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to ATOWN getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Teddi Sobottke hit a great ball. The supporters of ATOWN booed when Savon Palloseura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juha-Pekka Joenväärä didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaarle Väätäinen in the 88th minute of play forced ATOWN's goalkeeper Lavrits Bjørnfalk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th match minute, ATOWN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peder Vejs to maneuver through the defense. After 90 minutes of play, Savon Palloseura's Tauno Kivimäki made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lavrits Bjørnfalk was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute Juha-Pekka Joenväärä shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lavrits Bjørnfalk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heikki Niinimaa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Savon Palloseura's Tauno Kivimäki suffered a concussion in the 98th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Eilif Hofsø's late challenge caught a Savon Palloseura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eilif Hofsø helped the player get up and apologised. Savon Palloseura's Toivo Karhu was substituted for Tauno Kivimäki. After a rather tough play, ATOWN's Eilif Hofsø got a free kick in the 99th minute. ATOWN's Lavrits Bjørnfalk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarle Väätäinen in the 100th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Savon Palloseura had played much better football throughout.
