Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Tam Clerk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Lübke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hellmut Klasen got a throw-in 7 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Heinrich Ziervogel. Tam Clerk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Olaf Lübke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alisdair Ferries made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronnie Schilder in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Lord of the Wings getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Edmond Mason hit a great ball. Lord of the Wings's Alisdair Ferries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt in the 18th minute of play. Lord of the Wings's Tam Clerk got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olaf Lübke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tam Clerk in the 25th minute. The supporters of Lord of the Wings booed when SC Otten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinhold Friedl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Fergus Malcolm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lord of the Wings's supporters rose to their feet, but Fergus Malcolm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olaf Lübke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Moore kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Alisdair Ferries made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Vielmann in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Edmond Mason sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olaf Lübke skillfully saved the ball. 42 minutes into the game, one of Lord of the Wings:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. A collision led to SC Otten getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Hellmut Klasen hit a great ball. Edmond Mason struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Olaf Lübke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lord of the Wings. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peter Moore made a kick off. Edmond Mason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Stuart McLucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Otten's Rudi Tenhagen was substituted for Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt. In the 63rd match minute, Lord of the Wings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart McLucas to maneuver through the defense. After 65 played minutes Lord of the Wings got a freekick which was hit by Troy McLewis. Rudi Tenhagen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tam Clerk during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Lord of the Wings got a freekick which was hit by Tam Clerk. In the 71st minute, Theo Roberts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 played minutes, SC Otten's Donny Rebell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alisdair Ferries came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Otten reached it. Rudi Tenhagen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alisdair Ferries firmly grabbed it by the left post. With an all-out effort, SC Otten's Alisdair Ferries threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronnie Schilder, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 80 minutes into the game, Hansjörg Görlitz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alisdair Ferries. Hansjörg Görlitz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Heinrich Ziervogel got a throw-in 84 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mel Ecker. Edmond Mason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Olaf Lübke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Lord of the Wings getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Edmond Mason hit a great ball. Ronnie Schilder succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 96th playminute. The SC Otten supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Otten would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
