Maurits Weinhardt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulrik Wieder went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Hønning booed when Pheonix FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aage Faurfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Steffen Dyrehøj sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Folmar Dandanell skillfully saved the ball. In the 19th minute Ferdinand Romholt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurits Weinhardt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22ndth minute of the game Ferdinand Romholt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pheonix FC's Maurits Weinhardt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurits Weinhardt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Romholt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Palli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Folmar Dandanell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Pheonix FC got a freekick which was hit by Steffen Dyrehøj. Ferdinand Romholt took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurits Weinhardt. Maurits Weinhardt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Pheonix FC's Maurits Weinhardt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hagbart Trantofte in the 74th minute of play. 7-0 became the score in the 77th minute when Samson Erreboe elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nils Taffenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samson Erreboe struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Maurits Weinhardt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hønning. 93 minutes into the game, Laust Kisling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pheonix FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hønning the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pheonix FC's Laust Kisling got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 95 minutes of play Pheonix FC's Lejf Palmus was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Pheonix FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Lejf Palmus hit a great ball. Maurits Weinhardt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Romholt, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Hønning walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
