In the 13th minute of the match T H F C got a corner. SSV Ulm 1846's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wayne Campbell ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 19th minute, Matty Tinker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The T H F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Erich Pitten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matty Tinker in the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SSV Ulm 1846's zone, Ged Pope stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erich Pitten came out of the goal and Ged Pope tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Ged Pope managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. T H F C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ged Pope was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, T H F C's goalkeeper Dan Radcliffe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mykhaylo Mudryk. Jakob Fricke took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Radcliffe. Dan Radcliffe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Holder Zocholl hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ged Pope in the 31st minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Erich Pitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute of the match, Mykhaylo Mudryk got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dan Radcliffe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dan Radcliffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Dieler, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Quentin Forrest hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. With a little luck, T H F C's Dan Radcliffe got control of the ball when Mykhaylo Mudryk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mykhaylo Mudryk hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Holder Zocholl made the kick off in the second half. Dan Radcliffe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miro Klose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jakob Fricke fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Dan Radcliffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Dieler, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. SSV Ulm 1846's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luka Roth in the 76th minute. SSV Ulm 1846's Luka Roth was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dan Radcliffe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dan Radcliffe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Fricke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matty Tinker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erich Pitten having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Mykhaylo Mudryk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SSV Ulm 1846 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In the 94th minute Miro Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Radcliffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Radcliffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holder Zocholl in the 95th minute of play. T H F C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
