The supporters of Lisburn Distillery F.C. booed when SSV Ulm 1846 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Fricke didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toby Dransfield in the 15th minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Erich Pitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Toby Dransfield put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Erich Pitten. After having played for 21 minutes, Igor Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Sanchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Toby Dransfield kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erich Pitten. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Igor Sanchez from a close distance when the talented Erich Pitten managed to make a qualified save. SSV Ulm 1846's players were relieved. Hippo Schellenberger hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Paul Ahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Dieler in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Erich Pitten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SSV Ulm 1846's Erich Pitten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toby Dransfield in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Den Hardwick in the 44th minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Erich Pitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Toby Dransfield made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Connell in the 52nd minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Erich Pitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Hippo Schellenberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SSV Ulm 1846's zone, Den Hardwick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erich Pitten came out of the goal and Den Hardwick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Den Hardwick in the 63rd minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Erich Pitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Igor Sanchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erich Pitten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Bobby Connell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Paul Ahlbom was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mykhaylo Mudryk. Igor Sanchez hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Erich Pitten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Den Hardwick in the 90th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Paul Ahlbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mykhaylo Mudryk. SSV Ulm 1846's Mykhaylo Mudryk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paul Ahlbom in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pierre Thielens thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Paul Ahlbom, a very annoying self made goal in the 95th minute which led to 3-1.
