Hossam Bräker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Hossam Bräker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 洪振义, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niklas Böhm kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Carlinhos Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hossam Bräker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Andreas Forsberg made a precise shot to the right of Hossam Bräker. FC 08 Brühl's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If 洪振义 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, Carlisle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 张学友 楚城 to maneuver through the defense. If 洪振义 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hossam Bräker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 洪振义 in the 34th minute of the match. Hossam Bräker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 洪振义 in the 35th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 62nd match minute, FC 08 Brühl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toralf Toprak to maneuver through the defense. Hossam Bräker made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when 洪振义 sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, 洪振义 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hossam Bräker. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 71st minute, 洪振义 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Carlisle United getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. 冯树景 hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 洪振义 in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hossam Bräker saved FC 08 Brühl from getting behind. 洪振义 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Hossam Bräker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlisle United made a substitution. Andy Campbell replaced Carlinhos Vidal. 83 minutes into the game, 洪振义 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hossam Bräker. 洪振义 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Russ Blain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guido Kartz kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Thomas Jan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC 08 Brühl's Hossam Bräker didn't even have to move. Hossam Bräker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Thomas in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Carlisle United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
