Andreas Berglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nerūnas Stulgys, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Juozas Zelmikas came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Gædd FK's Edvin Bredesen. But to his dismay, Edvin Bredesen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Edvin Bredesen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Juozas Zelmikas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Geležinis Vilkas defense, Kjetil Hellevik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juozas Zelmikas. The Geležinis Vilkas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juozas Zelmikas should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the game, Gædd FK's Edvin Bredesen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juozas Zelmikas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Juozas Zelmikas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geir-Inge Unhjem went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Bredesen in the 33rd minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Juozas Zelmikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nerūnas Stulgys during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Geležinis Vilkas's Nerūnas Stulgys got a free kick in the 35th minute. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Gædd FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor-Ivar Mæhle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geležinis Vilkas were furious when Jogaila Jameikis was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 47th match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristupas Kirkutis to maneuver through the defense. Juozas Zelmikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvin Bredesen in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edvin Bredesen to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Gædd FK got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Bredesen. Andreas Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupertas Laurinavičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kjetil Hellevik fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gædd FK's protests and gave Kjetil Hellevik a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gædd FK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Kjetil Hellevik hit a great ball. Rupertas Laurinavičius charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rupertas Laurinavičius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juozas Zelmikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geir-Inge Unhjem, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Geležinis Vilkas's Juozas Zelmikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvin Bredesen in the 74th minute of play. Dalius Stankus's late challenge caught a Gædd FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalius Stankus helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Dalius Stankus. The supporters of Gædd FK booed when Geležinis Vilkas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupertas Lazauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Edvin Bredesen came free, but Juozas Zelmikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Algitas Sadauskas's late challenge caught a Gædd FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Algitas Sadauskas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Algitas Sadauskas to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Geir-Inge Unhjem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juozas Zelmikas. Geležinis Vilkas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geir-Inge Unhjem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Andreas Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justinas Paliūnas in the 83rd minute of the match. Magnus Gerhardsen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juozas Zelmikas came out and tried to block the shot, but Magnus Gerhardsen slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 92nd minute. Edvin Bredesen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juozas Zelmikas having to interfere. Gædd FK played a much better game than Geležinis Vilkas and deserved their victory. The Geležinis Vilkas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
