After a rather tough play, FK Mintis Vilnius's Sigitas Sakalauskas got a free kick in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tobias Haugvaldstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åsnes's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Haugvaldstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gvidonas Jakimavičius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İsrafil Yağız sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Ødegaard in the 20th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Gvidonas Jakimavičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gvidonas Jakimavičius made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Aleksander Ånestad sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Ødegaard in the 22nd minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Gvidonas Jakimavičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Ødegaard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gvidonas Jakimavičius having to make a save. After 24 minutes, Kęstutis Skersys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Mintis Vilnius and the Åsnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, FK Mintis Vilnius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kęstutis Skersys to maneuver through the defense. Christer Waaler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İsrafil Yağız's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Ødegaard came free, but Gvidonas Jakimavičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Ødegaard took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gvidonas Jakimavičius. Gvidonas Jakimavičius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dan Ødegaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gvidonas Jakimavičius having to interfere. Christer Waaler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsrafil Yağız, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigitas Ivoška in the 41st minute of play. FK Mintis Vilnius's İsrafil Yağız got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for İsrafil Yağız to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Martin Rustad got a free kick in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when İsrafil Yağız came free, but Christer Waaler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FK Mintis Vilnius booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor-Kristian Fosse didn't get a good kick on the ball. FK Mintis Vilnius's Gvidonas Jakimavičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Ødegaard in the 59th minute of play. FK Mintis Vilnius's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigitas Ivoška in the 63rd minute. Gvidonas Jakimavičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Ødegaard in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İsrafil Yağız in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christer Waaler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 played minutes FK Mintis Vilnius got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Kulpys. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ugnius Budnikas got free with Christer Waaler in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FK Mintis Vilnius getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Lukas Kulpys hit a great ball. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Tor-Kristian Fosse hit a great ball. İsrafil Yağız sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon-Egil Gjelsvik to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Haugvaldstad struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Gvidonas Jakimavičius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åsnes.
