Louie Hellemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ismail Köhler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evert Heremans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Konrad Højbjerg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Evert Heremans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Konrad Højbjerg. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, De Gulden Draak's Evert Heremans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Konrad Højbjerg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evert Heremans got free with Konrad Højbjerg in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when FC Falkenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Al Aunum didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Falkenberg's zone, Hartmut Achterberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konrad Højbjerg came out of the goal and Hartmut Achterberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Konrad Højbjerg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald Breitbücher in the 22nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Evert Heremans took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Konrad Højbjerg to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the game, Louie Hellemann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Falkenberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Gulden Draak the free kick. De Gulden Draak's Fjodor Mandel was substituted for Gert Porsche. Louie Hellemann kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Marco Elsbro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Herbert Wörmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konrad Højbjerg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Louie Hellemann was the one to do the kick off. De Gulden Draak had played much better football throughout.
