A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jon-Egil Gjelsvik hit a great ball. In the 6th minute Nikki Letbøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, FC Falkenberg's goalkeeper Konrad Højbjerg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petter Vartdal. Konrad Højbjerg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Morten Sundseth in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Jonathan Vie got a free kick in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Kenneth Woll in the 21st minute of play forced FC Falkenberg's goalkeeper Konrad Højbjerg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jonathan Vie hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Jan-Kenneth Woll got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Konrad Højbjerg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Kenneth Woll in the 35th minute of the match. Konrad Højbjerg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Vie in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Endre Svensen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Åsnes booed when FC Falkenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rikardt Brændbjerg didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Falkenberg's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jonathan Vie 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan-Kenneth Woll was the one to do the kick off. Konrad Højbjerg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petter Vartdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Konrad Højbjerg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petter Vartdal went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Petter Vartdal struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Konrad Højbjerg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åsnes. In the 60th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morten Sundseth to maneuver through the defense. Konrad Højbjerg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Vartdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Konrad Højbjerg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Kenneth Woll in the 74th minute of the match. FC Falkenberg's Konrad Højbjerg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Vartdal in the 80th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Buvarp in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Konrad Højbjerg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 82 minutes, Benjamin Buvarp made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Falkenberg's Konrad Højbjerg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Konrad Højbjerg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Vartdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Petter Vartdal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Konrad Højbjerg. FC Falkenberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petter Vartdal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Benjamin Buvarp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Konrad Højbjerg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
