Andy Zeyer scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jon-Inge Kolberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carsten Schaub during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Odin Fjeldberg was the one to do the kick off. Andy Zeyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon-Inge Kolberg having to interfere. Niklas Sauter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odin Fjeldberg in the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Kristian Devik could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Niklas Sauter however easily saved by the left post. Niklas Sauter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odin Fjeldberg in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute The Nerd Herd were awarded a corner. Geir-Inge Torstensen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Geir-Inge Torstensen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter did a great save. Niklas Sauter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Odin Fjeldberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 95 minute of play. Despite being the better team, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
