The audience was convinced that Andy Zeyer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albert Godsall was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 6 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ricki Gervais came free, but Niklas Sauter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dejan Leuschner charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dejan Leuschner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dejan Leuschner kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Niklas Sauter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricki Gervais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricki Gervais got free with Niklas Sauter in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute Carsten Schaub shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Godsall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter got control of the ball when Damian Stonehouse tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Jay Palmer. Albert Godsall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Nettig, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Fritz Nettig took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albert Godsall. Albert Godsall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Egg Chasers FC's Ricki Gervais in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalie prevented a goal. Egg Chasers FC's Damian Stonehouse got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Zeyer in the 31st minute of play forced Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Albert Godsall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gunther Trendelenburg fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s protests and gave Gunther Trendelenburg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunther Trendelenburg to maneuver through the defense. Albert Godsall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Werner Geißler in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute of the match, Ricki Gervais tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Niklas Sauter saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 43rd minute Danny Booth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jay Palmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
After 51 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Barone. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricki Gervais in the 64th minute of play. Egg Chasers FC's Albert Godsall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Nettig in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, Egg Chasers FC's Albert Godsall got control of the ball when Carsten Schaub tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Samuel Schweiger got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Niklas Sauter came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Egg Chasers FC's Damian Stonehouse. But to his dismay, Damian Stonehouse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Werner Geißler got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Werner Geißler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carsten Schaub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Godsall having to interfere. Alex Barone kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Albert Godsall threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bolko Röhmer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Niklas Sauter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Stonehouse in the 94th minute of play.
