Saúl Gentiletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute, Odin Fjeldberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Saúl Gentiletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the FC Žalia Giria defense, Odin Fjeldberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Carrizo. The FC Žalia Giria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Carrizo should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Odin Fjeldberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolfo Carrizo. FC Žalia Giria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Odin Fjeldberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A sloppy throw-in by Frode Kjellevold in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Žalia Giria's Hikmet Lebib. FC Žalia Giria:s Adolfo Carrizo showed great skill when he stopped Geir-Inge Torstensen:s penalty. 25 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jon-Inge Kolberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saúl Gentiletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frode Kjellevold's late challenge caught a FC Žalia Giria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frode Kjellevold helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, The Nerd Herd's Frode Kjellevold got a free kick in the 31st minute. FC Žalia Giria's Vaidas Maciulevičius got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, The Nerd Herd's Jon-Inge Kolberg got control of the ball when Saúl Gentiletti tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Žalia Giria's Rokas Kavaliauskas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Frode Kjellevold, made in the 40th minute of the game. Vaidas Maciulevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jon-Inge Kolberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Saúl Gentiletti made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Nerd Herd's goalkeeper Jon-Inge Kolberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Vaidas Maciulevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Žalia Giria's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaidas Maciulevičius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon-Inge Kolberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Saúl Gentiletti put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jon-Inge Kolberg. 67 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Devik came free, but Adolfo Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Nerd Herd's Jon-Inge Kolberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaidas Maciulevičius in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saúl Gentiletti in the 72nd minute of play forced The Nerd Herd's goalkeeper Jon-Inge Kolberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's goal looked a bit too open when Saúl Gentiletti came free, but Jon-Inge Kolberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Saúl Gentiletti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon-Inge Kolberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jon-Inge Kolberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vaidas Maciulevičius went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Vaidas Maciulevičius hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Jon-Inge Kolberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saúl Gentiletti, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 95 minutes, Odin Fjeldberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Nerd Herd and the FC Žalia Giria players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee ended the match the FC Žalia Giria players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
