Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Arturo Cirelli made the kick off and thus started the match. When Anthony Ruzzi came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Merceron United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Ruzzi couldn't finish the play. Concetto Riccardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sao Brasola booed when Merceron United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Cardillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Cirelli in the 11th minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Carmine Latini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Conti hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Arturo Cirelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carmine Latini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Carmine Latini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Cirelli in the 17th minute of the match. A hard shot 18 in the game by Anthony Ruzzi from a close distance when the talented Enrico De Tommasi managed to make a qualified save. Sao Brasola's players were relieved. Anthony Ruzzi hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Anthony Ruzzi scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrico De Tommasi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carmine Latini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Cirelli in the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anthony Ruzzi in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrico De Tommasi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The long shot by Emilio Conti in the 38th minute really tested Enrico De Tommasi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Sao Brasola's Enrico De Tommasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Ruzzi in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goal looked a bit too open when Ennio Guidoni came free, but Enrico De Tommasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthony Ruzzi to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Anthony Tristezza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sao Brasola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthony Tristezza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Merceron United's Anthony Ruzzi in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sao Brasola's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Ruzzi in the 60th minute of play forced Sao Brasola's goalkeeper Enrico De Tommasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sao Brasola's Enrico De Tommasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Ruzzi in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Anthony Ruzzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico De Tommasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Merceron United's Anthony Ruzzi in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sao Brasola's goalie prevented a goal. Ennio Marcantonio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enrico De Tommasi. Sao Brasola's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Enrico De Tommasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ennio Guidoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th match minute, Merceron United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Corna to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Cirelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anthony Ruzzi struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Enrico De Tommasi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merceron United. Enrico De Tommasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Ruzzi in the 79th minute of the match. Alfredo Circelli hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Anthony Ruzzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merceron United's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Ruzzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrico De Tommasi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ennio Guidoni hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Many of Sao Brasola's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Sao Brasola may have spent more time on the ball, but Merceron United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
