Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luiz Faria started the match with the kick off. Angelo Di Salvatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Zrinzo in the 7th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Fabio Aceto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sconvols United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attard Gunners the free kick. After 12 played minutes Sconvols United got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Aceto. In the 14th match minute, Sconvols United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Gervasi to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Di Salvatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea Xuereb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Luiz Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rapinett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Luiz Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeo Rapinett was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Angelo Di Salvatore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomas Zrinzo went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Angelo Di Salvatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Xuereb, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Amadeo Rapinett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Aceto in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett got control of the ball when Luiz Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Carmine Gagliano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Attard Gunners were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lawrence De Marco was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Luiz Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when Sconvols United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Gagliano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Aceto in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo Rapinett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelo Di Salvatore stood somewhat misplaced when Andrea Xuereb came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 61 minute. After 65 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Clayton Brockdorff. Andrea Xuereb kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmondo Gervasi during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when Sconvols United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Gervasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Sconvols United's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Zrinzo came free, but Angelo Di Salvatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Rapinett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Aceto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Attard Gunners left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sconvols United.
