Grigoris Poursanidis started the match with the kick off. When Stefano Marsi fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luponero FC's protests and gave Stefano Marsi a yellow card for diving instead. Arrigo Oddi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigoris Poursanidis in the 5th minute of the match. Grigoris Poursanidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Oddi having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Pagos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Johnson came free, but Kostas Periandros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ettore De Vecchis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Luponero FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Stefano Marsi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charalambos Lelopoulos in the 26th minute of play forced Luponero FC's goalkeeper Arrigo Oddi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pagos FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Giorgos Tsiabras hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Grigoris Poursanidis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Luponero FC's Arrigo Oddi. Arrigo Oddi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fanis Papafanopoulos hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Ettore De Vecchis came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Luponero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore De Vecchis couldn't finish the play. When Laurence Johnson came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Luponero FC fans jumped to their feet. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurence Johnson was the one to do the kick off. Stefano Marsi might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kostas Periandros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefano Marsi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Pagos FC's Avraam Maggioros got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Stefano Marsi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kostas Periandros skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Arcangeli during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute, Alessandro Arcangeli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ettore De Vecchis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kostas Periandros came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Luponero FC's Laurence Johnson. But to his dismay, Laurence Johnson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Laurence Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charalambos Lelopoulos during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pagos FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Charalambos Lelopoulos hit a great ball. Giorgos Tsiabras's late challenge caught a Luponero FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Tsiabras helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pagos FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Giorgos Tsiabras hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Ettore De Vecchis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kostas Periandros. Pagos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ettore De Vecchis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Pagos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Giorgos Tsiabras in the 87th minute. Pagos FC's Giorgos Tsiabras was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arrigo Oddi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 89 minutes into the match, Pagos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stefano Marsi came free, but Kostas Periandros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pagos FC's Kostas Periandros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Johnson in the 94th minute of play.
