Renos Valantis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christophe Pérennou kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Laget in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renos Valantis saved MONAXOS from getting behind. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Felix Laget sped through MONAXOS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Renos Valantis. The Deus Ex Machina fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Deus Ex Machina's Felix Laget looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Felix Laget came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Deus Ex Machina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Laget couldn't finish the play. Renos Valantis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Laget in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Carlos Julienne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renos Valantis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Deus Ex Machina's Felix Laget nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renos Valantis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fotis Stamatakos to make the kick off. A collision led to Deus Ex Machina getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Christophe Pérennou hit a great ball. Nektarios Kontopoulos struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jérémie Millier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MONAXOS. In the 61st minute, Felix Laget left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deus Ex Machina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. If Felix Laget had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Renos Valantis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Laget in the 71st minute. Felix Laget sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlos Julienne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renos Valantis having to make a save. 82 minutes into the match, MONAXOS's goalkeeper Renos Valantis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Julienne. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Nektarios Kontopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONAXOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Nektarios Kontopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jérémie Millier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MONAXOS's Renos Valantis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Laget in the 90th minute of play. Felix Laget might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renos Valantis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Laget ran back to his position shaking his head. Renos Valantis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Laget in the 92nd minute of the match.
