The crowd rose to their feet as Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio's Carter Croce slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabiano Barillari. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Fabiano Barillari was a little too slow when Enrico Brunetta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 2-0. 10 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Perfecto came free, but Fabiano Barillari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Barillari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrico Brunetta in the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Montesacro FC booed when Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Del Bello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Anfilogino Imperiale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montesacro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Montesacro FC's Fabiano Barillari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Montesacro FC from getting a goal against them. Biagio Polo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Imperiale in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Anfilogino Imperiale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Biagio Polo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st match minute, Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carter Croce to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Anfilogino Imperiale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biagio Polo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrico Brunetta came free, but Fabiano Barillari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Enrico Brunetta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabiano Barillari was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 44th minute, Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio's Ildefonso Perfecto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabiano Barillari. Fabiano Barillari yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrico Brunetta to make the kick off. Angelo Del Bello's late challenge caught a Montesacro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Del Bello helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Montesacro FC booed when Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Del Bello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrico Brunetta in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabiano Barillari prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabiano Barillari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrico Brunetta in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Enrico Brunetta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Barillari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabiano Barillari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Del Bello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Perfecto took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano Barillari. Fabiano Barillari dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. In the 74thth minute of the game Anfilogino Imperiale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio's Biagio Polo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabiano Barillari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Volpe in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Emanuele Volpe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Fabiano Barillari was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciccio Melone during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, one of Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio. After 84 minutes Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio's goalkeeper Biagio Polo managed, with a little bit of luck, save Frank Scarcella's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Biagio Polo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Robbiati in the 89th minute. A collision led to Montesacro FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fabiano Damiani hit a great ball. Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio's Nicolau Madruga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Montesacro FC. For all the effort they put into the match, the Montesacro FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sole e Mezzaluna Calcio.
