After 4 minutes, Gabriel Lentini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Templars FC and the AFC Ajax players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gabriel Lentini kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Ermis Panteliadis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Angelo Meilak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Oliver Friggieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Menios Atmatzidis. AFC Ajax's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Friggieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A hard shot 22 in the game by Charis Katydis from a close distance when the talented Samuel Demicoli managed to make a qualified save. Templars FC's players were relieved. In the 23rd minute, Noel Trapani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Charis Katydis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli. Samuel Demicoli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Michalis Bakakos came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Samuel Demicoli could save by the left post. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Templars FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panos Thomaidis was slow to take the kick. During this time AFC Ajax's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charis Katydis got free with Samuel Demicoli in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45thth minute of the game Charis Katydis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charis Katydis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Katydis in the 50th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper Samuel Demicoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC Ajax's Menios Atmatzidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Friggieri in the 52nd minute of play. Nontas Livaditis hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Samuel Demicoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charis Katydis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Templars FC booed when AFC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nontas Livaditis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th match minute, AFC Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nontas Livaditis to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Demicoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nontas Livaditis in the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AFC Ajax's Gerasimos Liakos got a free kick in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Ajax's zone, Lawrence Buontempo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Menios Atmatzidis came out of the goal and Lawrence Buontempo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AFC Ajax's Menios Atmatzidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save AFC Ajax from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute Charis Katydis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Demicoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Charis Katydis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Samuel Demicoli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 86 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Gerasimos Liakos. In the 89th match minute, AFC Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michalis Venieris to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Ajax's goalkeeper Menios Atmatzidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. AFC Ajax were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Templars FC for a fine match.
