Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Theodosis Giannou took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes of play, Go Ahead Eagles's Arjan Robben made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vassilis Sapanis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Arjan Robben got a free kick in the 7th minute. With a little luck, PAOK FC's Vassilis Sapanis got control of the ball when Arjan Robben tried to sneak it across the goal line. PAOK FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vaios Sakoulidis 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. After 13 minutes of play, Go Ahead Eagles's Arjan Robben made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vassilis Sapanis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vassilis Sapanis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arjan Robben in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, PAOK FC's Minas Piliouras got a free kick in the 26th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Go Ahead Eagles's Vaios Sakoulidis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vassilis Sapanis. That made the score 4-0 after 28 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Nikos Moustos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikos Moustos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vassilis Sapanis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the match, Miltiadis Egomitis notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of PAOK FC's Vassilis Sapanis. Vassilis Sapanis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vassilis Sapanis came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Go Ahead Eagles's Miltiadis Egomitis. But to his dismay, Miltiadis Egomitis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Arjan Robben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vassilis Sapanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaios Sakoulidis in the 45th minute of play forced PAOK FC's goalkeeper Vassilis Sapanis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PAOK FC's Vassilis Sapanis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Moustos in the 46th minute of play. Arjan Robben took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vassilis Sapanis. Vassilis Sapanis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0.

When David Beckham came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Go Ahead Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Beckham couldn't finish the play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Michalis Kladogennis put in a rough tackle. In the 60th minute, Miltiadis Egomitis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and PAOK FC's Vassilis Sapanis didn't even have to move. In the 61st minute Arjan Robben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vassilis Sapanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikos Moustos took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vassilis Sapanis. Vassilis Sapanis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by PAOK FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chatziioannou Kakratsas was slow to take the kick. During this time Go Ahead Eagles's players had a chance to rest. Go Ahead Eagles's Chatziioannou Kakratsas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vassilis Sapanis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 69thth minute of the game Arjan Robben who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PAOK FC's Vassilis Sapanis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st match minute, PAOK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Minas Piliouras to maneuver through the defense. PAOK FC's Vassilis Sapanis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Moustos in the 80th minute of play. Vassilis Sapanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaios Sakoulidis in the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when PAOK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marios Karagiannos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vaios Sakoulidis struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Vassilis Sapanis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Go Ahead Eagles. Vassilis Sapanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arjan Robben in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Go Ahead Eagles had played much better football throughout.
