The referee ignored Les diables noirs's protests and gave Joey Weill a yellow card for diving instead. Monkey D.Luffy's Aldo Marulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Lépinay in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustave Pierrel in the 8th minute of play forced Monkey D.Luffy's goalkeeper Aldo Marulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Jean-Yves Paturel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Monkey D.Luffy's Aldo Marulli. Aldo Marulli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aldo Marulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustave Pierrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Emiliano Soccio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monkey D.Luffy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Les diables noirs the free kick. After a rather tough play, Monkey D.Luffy's Emiliano Soccio got a free kick in the 13th minute. Aldo Marulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustave Pierrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of Les diables noirs booed when Monkey D.Luffy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Soccio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kevan Grange made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Papetti in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Jean-Yves Paturel notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Monkey D.Luffy's Aldo Marulli. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Demetrio Giampieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monkey D.Luffy's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio Giampieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevan Grange breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee gave Emiliano Soccio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Emiliano Soccio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Aldo Marulli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfried Lépinay in the 76th minute. It was beautiful to see Monkey D.Luffy's Fabrizio Lizzi in action when he in the 80th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 84 minutes into the game, Arturo Papetti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
