In the 7th minute FC Aquile Azzurre were awarded a corner. Enzo Scutti went to the cornerflag to take it. FC Aquile Azzurre's Enzo Scutti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Renaud Berthier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Mora got free with Angelo Peruzzi in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Aquile Azzurre booed when Alexandrie CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miro Klose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renaud Berthier having to interfere. If Enzo Scutti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Miro Klose's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renaud Berthier was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After 26 minutes, Miro Klose made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Alexandrie CF's Renaud Berthier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Miro Klose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Alexandrie CF's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Klose came free, but Renaud Berthier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute FC Aquile Azzurre were awarded a corner. Enzo Scutti went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Enzo Scutti got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Renaud Berthier quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Alexandrie CF booed when FC Aquile Azzurre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Scutti didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes Alexandrie CF got a freekick which was hit by José Broutin. In the 40th minute, Miro Klose ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Renaud Berthier was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Miro Klose charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miro Klose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Aquile Azzurre getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Miro Klose hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miro Klose to make the kick off. Renaud Berthier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Scutti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enzo Scutti during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelo Peruzzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ívan James in the 61st minute of play. José Broutin made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Aquile Azzurre's Lot Itov. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Miro Klose took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Renaud Berthier to make any attempt to save it. Angelo Peruzzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ívan James in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Enzo Scutti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaud Berthier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miro Klose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Renaud Berthier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renaud Berthier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Scutti in the 76th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lazaro Alzate during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes FC Aquile Azzurre got a freekick which was hit by Lazaro Alzate. Miro Klose received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Renaud Berthier came out and tried to block the shot, but Miro Klose slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 90th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Miro Klose managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Aquile Azzurre's supporters rose to their feet, but Miro Klose was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renaud Berthier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Alexandrie CF lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
