Mans's Didier Lefebvre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Epifani in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Mans's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Garofalo came free, but Didier Lefebvre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didier Lefebvre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Epifani in the 23rd minute. After 25 played minutes CA Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Cesaroni. CA Boca Jrs were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Mans's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Armando Garofalo took the corner. When Armando Garofalo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the CA Boca Jrs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Garofalo couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Epifani was the one to do the kick off.
