When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Beppe Zoff took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Anthony Volpe to make any attempt to save it. 17 minutes into the match, Squadra de Pippe's goalkeeper Anthony Volpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beppe Zoff. Domenico Sabatino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Iori in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Squadra de Pippe's Alessandro Rotolo got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of Squadra de Pippe booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Iezzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sorci Viola's zone, Alfonso Iori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Sabatino came out of the goal and Alfonso Iori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Augusto Marini fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Squadra de Pippe's protests and gave Augusto Marini a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Squadra de Pippe got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Marini. Domenico Sabatino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Iori in the 33rd minute of play. Domenico Sabatino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesare Di Loreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Squadra de Pippe's Cesare Di Loreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domenico Sabatino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Alfonso Iori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Squadra de Pippe's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Iori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domenico Sabatino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bengi Rana hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Ciro Ferrante kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Anthony Volpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Zoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Anthony Volpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Montini in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesare Di Loreto in the 94th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Sorci Viola were the better team. Sorci Viola's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
