Marseille's Jordan Girardot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Di Iorio in the 5th minute of play. Jordan Girardot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Amatori, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 8th match minute, R.C. Marseille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrice Arlot to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Donato Amatori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordan Girardot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordan Girardot came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Alba FC's Donato Amatori. But to his dismay, Donato Amatori quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hector Didier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Andrea Banana made a huge save. If Donato Amatori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordan Girardot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Amatori, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alba FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! 30 minutes into the game, Alessio Cannavacciuolo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave R.C. Marseille the free kick. A collision led to Alba FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alessio Cannavacciuolo hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Alba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Cayron came free, but Andrea Banana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, R.C. Marseille's Andrea Banana threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jean-Paul Fromont, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Amatori in the 34th minute of play forced R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Jordan Girardot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Donato Amatori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Amatori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jordan Girardot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Sidney Cayron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jordan Girardot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Amatori in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Edgard Schaal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the R.C. Marseille and the Alba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edgard Schaal hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Donato Amatori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordan Girardot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Jean-Paul Fromont made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Jordan Girardot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Di Iorio. In the 54th minute of the match Alba FC got a corner. R.C. Marseille's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrea Iannotti ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Alba FC's Andrea Iannotti to fire away a dangerous shot which Jordan Girardot despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jordan Girardot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Federico Di Iorio in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Amatori got free with Jordan Girardot in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jordan Girardot made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Amos Martorella sent off a good shot on target. After 68 minutes, Ciro Cino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alba FC and the R.C. Marseille players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when Alba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Cino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Hector Didier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Banana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Amatori came free, but Jordan Girardot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Didier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Banana having to interfere. In the 74th minute Donato Amatori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordan Girardot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alba FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrea Iannotti in the 76th minute. Andrea Banana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Paul Fromont in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Jordan Girardot successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Donato Amatori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jordan Girardot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alba FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrea Iannotti in the 85th minute. The corner ended in Andrea Iannotti almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but R.C. Marseille's Jordan Girardot did a great save. Andrea Banana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean-Paul Fromont went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
