Jonny Logan started the match with the kick off. Régis Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Valencia C.F. got a corner. Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florentin Gougeon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Régis Bastian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Logan in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Les Pionniers de Touraine booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colin Buckler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonny Logan kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Maurício Pellegrino got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Régis Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentin Gougeon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 26th minute of play forced Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalkeeper Régis Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javi Guerra to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Andoni Zubizarreta managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Les Pionniers de Touraine's Moussa Blanquart fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Colin Buckler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Régis Bastian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colin Buckler in the 34th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Valencia C.F.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Les Pionniers de Touraine:s goal. Andoni Zubizarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigue Davoust in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Les Pionniers de Touraine booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentin Gougeon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moussa Blanquart was the one to do the kick off. Valencia C.F.'s Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moussa Blanquart in the 51st minute of play. Gareth Bell charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gareth Bell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Valencia C.F. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gareth Bell hit a great ball. After 57 minutes, Jean-Pascal Berthelot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les Pionniers de Touraine and the Valencia C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Les Pionniers de Touraine getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jean-Pascal Berthelot hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Florentin Gougeon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Régis Bastian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Valencia C.F. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gareth Bell hit a great ball. Valencia C.F.'s Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnabé Dambrine in the 61st minute of play. Andoni Zubizarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigue Davoust, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Régis Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Colin Buckler in the 65th minute of the match. The throw-in from Karl Cauchy in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Valencia C.F.'s Javi Guerra. Rodrigue Davoust fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andoni Zubizarreta having to interfere. Valencia C.F. made a substitution. Rodrigo Moreno replaced Jonny Logan. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Rodrigo Moreno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Les Pionniers de Touraine's Régis Bastian got control of the ball when Rodrigo Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 86 minutes of play, Les Pionniers de Touraine's Moussa Blanquart made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andoni Zubizarreta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Javi Guerra's late challenge caught a Les Pionniers de Touraine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javi Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Les Pionniers de Touraine booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javi Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Barnabé Dambrine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Les Pionniers de Touraine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barnabé Dambrine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Moussa Blanquart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andoni Zubizarreta. Valencia C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moussa Blanquart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Les Pionniers de Touraine fully deserved thier win.
