Moussa Blanquart started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Les Pionniers de Touraine were awarded a corner. Jean-Pierre Goigoux went to the cornerflag to take it. When Jean-Michel Guillonneau fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Les Pionniers de Touraine's protests and gave Jean-Michel Guillonneau a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Les Pionniers de Touraine got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Michel Guillonneau. 13 minutes into the match, Elegance Dijon's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Michel Guillonneau came free, but Ivo Katúrov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Jean-Michel Guillonneau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bixente Morio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigue Davoust got free with Ivo Katúrov in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moussa Blanquart in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivo Katúrov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 32 minutes into the match, Elegance Dijon's goal looked a bit too open when Barnabé Dambrine came free, but Ivo Katúrov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Barnabé Dambrine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Katúrov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Elegance Dijon's Ivo Katúrov got control of the ball when Rodrigue Davoust tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivo Katúrov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnabé Dambrine in the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Elegance Dijon getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Yann Guillemin hit a great ball. When Pierre-Henri Gaillot fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. A collision led to Les Pionniers de Touraine getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Pierre-Henri Gaillot hit a great ball. Clem Kalou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bixente Morio. Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lamine Valente was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Elegance Dijon's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigue Davoust came free, but Ivo Katúrov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match Les Pionniers de Touraine got a corner. Elegance Dijon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jean-Pierre Goigoux ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jean-Pierre Goigoux almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Elegance Dijon's Ivo Katúrov did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamine Valente in the 55th minute of play forced Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalkeeper Bixente Morio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Elegance Dijon booed when Les Pionniers de Touraine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Michel Guillonneau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivo Katúrov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigue Davoust, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Elegance Dijon's Ivo Katúrov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigue Davoust in the 63rd minute of play. Lamine Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Jean-Michel Guillonneau kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ivo Katúrov came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Les Pionniers de Touraine's Jean-Pascal Berthelot. But to his dismay, Jean-Pascal Berthelot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moussa Blanquart in the 75th minute of play forced Elegance Dijon's goalkeeper Ivo Katúrov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Elegance Dijon getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Yann Guillemin hit a great ball. Lamine Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Bixente Morio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathieu Gaud got free with Bixente Morio in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, Jean-Michel Guillonneau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Émilien Demol hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Bixente Morio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamine Valente in the 89th minute of the match. Ivo Katúrov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Michel Guillonneau in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Elegance Dijon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Les Pionniers de Touraine.
