Fabrício Águas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alexandrino Peixoto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cândido Machado made a kick off. Heitor Peseiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cândido Machado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. Heitor Peseiro made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Luís Santana sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Santana in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heitor Peseiro saved Garanhão do SUL from getting behind. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Esquadrão Lusitano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
