A collision led to Club Deportivo O IRIXO getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Enrique Pastor hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes Jeremias Dobale rounded Club Deportivo O IRIXO's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. After 24 minutes, Felix Zărnescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FCSB CUENCA and the Club Deportivo O IRIXO players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as FCSB CUENCA's Carlos Pujol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudio Aznar. That made the score 3-1 after 28 minutes of play. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Claudio Aznar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo O IRIXO from getting a goal against them. Claudio Aznar was a little too slow when Carlos Pujol got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 88th minute Venceslás Lermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Aznar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 played minutes Club Deportivo O IRIXO got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Recio. Manuel Navarro, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Frances Jaraba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez in the 95th minute. FCSB CUENCA were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Club Deportivo O IRIXO for a fine match.
