The supporters of Los Colegas del Barrio booed when Aguas Nuevas CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chano Jaen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Canal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but José Ballesteros made a huge save. Nahia Sierra struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. José Ballesteros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Colegas del Barrio. A collision led to Aguas Nuevas CD getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Chano Jaen hit a great ball. José Ballesteros came out of the goal and Nahia Sierra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aguas Nuevas CD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Antonio Canal scored to the left of an out of position José Ballesteros, making the score, 1-0. Eutropio Harroyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. José Ballesteros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nahia Sierra in the 51st minute of play forced Aguas Nuevas CD's goalkeeper José Ballesteros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Ballesteros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Canal in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Nahia Sierra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ballesteros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
