Baudilio Llinares made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Aloísio Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. Mete Mete received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baudilio Llinares came out and tried to block the shot, but Mete Mete slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. Sporting Tuga FC's Telmo Silveira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Heliodoro Segura, made in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th minute Géza Herman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baudilio Llinares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gorka Campoamor in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Caiado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Sporting Tuga FC's Géza Herman got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of Sporting Tuga FC booed when Atlético de Sagunto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haimar Marcos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético de Sagunto's Sagrario Valcarcel got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Atlético de Sagunto defense, Telmo Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baudilio Llinares. The Atlético de Sagunto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baudilio Llinares should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Xantalen Zafrilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético de Sagunto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Tuga FC the free kick. In the 30th minute, Aloísio Pimenta made a precise shot to the right of Baudilio Llinares. Atlético de Sagunto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. With a little luck, Atlético de Sagunto's Baudilio Llinares got control of the ball when Telmo Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baudilio Llinares was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Géza Herman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Géza Herman really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Aloísio Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baudilio Llinares having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Géza Herman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Baudilio Llinares, 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gorka Campoamor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sporting Tuga FC's Adelino Mourinho got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 59th minute Telmo Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baudilio Llinares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baudilio Llinares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Miguéis in the 62nd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Géza Herman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baudilio Llinares. Atlético de Sagunto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Géza Herman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Atlético de Sagunto's Baudilio Llinares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Pimenta in the 72nd minute of play. If Gorka Campoamor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Colaço scored 9-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baudilio Llinares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Simão Lobato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Mete Mete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baudilio Llinares was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. After some careless play in the Atlético de Sagunto defense, Géza Herman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baudilio Llinares. The Atlético de Sagunto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baudilio Llinares should have stopped the shot.
