But to his dismay, Bartolo Clementi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Inácio Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Viseu United booed when Sabadim Harammes PRD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rúben Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Sabadim Harammes PRD defense, Bartolo Clementi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inácio Cortez. The Sabadim Harammes PRD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inácio Cortez should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute Bartolo Clementi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Pires's late challenge caught a Viseu United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Pires helped the player get up and apologised. Alberto Pires hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sabadim Harammes PRD's goalkeeper Inácio Cortez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute of the match Viseu United got a corner. Sabadim Harammes PRD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Shen Feng ran over to the corner to take the kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Palmiro Cordeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Bartolo Clementi made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. The Viseu United fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Viseu United's Ziemowit Gdowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Ziemowit Gdowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Inácio Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ziemowit Gdowski in the 93rd minute. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 1-8 when Ziemowit Gdowski sped through Sabadim Harammes PRD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Inácio Cortez. When the match was over Viseu United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sabadim Harammes PRD throughout the match.
