The throw-in from Xandro Aguado in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by São Francisco FC86's Paulo Soares. Cassiano Vidigal made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Ventura Astudillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st match minute, São Francisco FC86 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ponce Delgado hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's zone, Ronaldo Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eufemio Zubizarreta came out of the goal and Ronaldo Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eufemio Zubizarreta was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. With a little luck, São Francisco FC86's Cassiano Vidigal got control of the ball when Renato Solera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ponce Delgado struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldo Pinheiro made a kick off. After a rather tough play, São Francisco FC86's Jacinto Pinheiro got a free kick in the 55th minute. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Salvador Palanques was substituted for A.J. 马超. The supporters of C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 booed when São Francisco FC86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's protests and gave Paquito Marques a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ponce Delgado in the 88th minute of play forced São Francisco FC86's goalkeeper Cassiano Vidigal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
