Almiro Setúbal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 9th match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rúben Dantas to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of SITIO CITY booed when Sporting Clube Patrício was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tarcísio Mesquita's late challenge caught a Sporting Clube Patrício's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu Mourinho hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Anjos to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Yuri Gaspar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Homero Sacramento was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Maurício Brandão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almiro Setúbal having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Sporting Clube Patrício's Homero Sacramento threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yuri Gaspar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eliseu Mourinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Homero Sacramento made a huge save. Almiro Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimas Maciel in the 33rd minute of play. Homero Sacramento made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Miguel Santiago sent off a good shot on target. Veríssimo Pestana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Almiro Setúbal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. When Veríssimo Pestana fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SITIO CITY's protests and gave Veríssimo Pestana a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes SITIO CITY got a freekick which was hit by Veríssimo Pestana. After 43 played minutes Sporting Clube Patrício got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Sá. Dimas Maciel might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Almiro Setúbal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dimas Maciel ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurício Brandão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Almiro Setúbal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dimas Maciel in the 56th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Maurício Brandão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Almiro Setúbal. That made the score 1-2 in the 65 minute of play. In the 68th minute, Dimas Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heitor Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SITIO CITY were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
