With a little luck, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Péter Čech got control of the ball when Pawel Bouchard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aqil Bağiyev charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aqil Bağiyev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Şamaxı Bankirlər getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Aqil Bağiyev hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Lambrozzi in the 12th minute of play forced Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Péter Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Arzuman Binnätov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Péter Čech made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Pawel Bouchard sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the game, Francisco Bleyer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Péter Čech. Francisco Bleyer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Şamaxı Bankirlər was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Qarabulud Bağirov to maneuver through the defense. Leander Uliassi's late challenge caught a Şamaxı Bankirlər's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leander Uliassi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Leander Uliassi got a free kick in the 24th minute. Vladimir Schnyder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vasif Abdulazamov went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Şahin Bäylärov got a free kick in the 38th minute. Stefan Bircher took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Péter Čech. Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Şamaxı Bankirlər was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loğman Hacibabayev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Şamaxı Bankirlər's zone, Pawel Bouchard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Péter Čech came out of the goal and Pawel Bouchard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pawel Bouchard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Péter Čech made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Şamaxı Bankirlər's zone, Pawel Bouchard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Péter Čech came out of the goal and Pawel Bouchard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mirsaad Denisov to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Mirsaad Denisov could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Vladimir Schnyder however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Fire Devils's Vladimir Schnyder got control of the ball when Mirsaad Denisov tried to sneak it across the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Feodor Cadotsch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Péter Čech. Şamaxı Bankirlər's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feodor Cadotsch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Mirsaad Denisov struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Vladimir Schnyder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Şamaxı Bankirlər. Vladimir Schnyder made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Mirsaad Denisov sent off a good shot on target. Cillian Zellweger kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mirsaad Denisov got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Färman Novruzov got a free kick in the 69th minute. Péter Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pawel Bouchard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes of play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mirsaad Denisov made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimir Schnyder was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fire Devils's Vladimir Schnyder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Fire Devils from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Pawel Bouchard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Fire Devils's Vladimir Schnyder got control of the ball when Mirsaad Denisov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Şamaxı Bankirlər's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
