Bonito Marschall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jiří Vejvoda's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Jiří Vejvoda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bonito Marschall was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21st minute Zdislav Nádeníček shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonito Marschall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jiří Vejvoda might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bonito Marschall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
