After some careless play in the Szittyák SE rege defense, Hans Stuifzand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Péter Temesvári. The Szittyák SE rege fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Péter Temesvári should have stopped the shot. Dávid Fenyvesi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rinus van Rooijen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrik Radnai kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match, Dávid Fenyvesi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rinus van Rooijen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Sas's zone, Patrik Radnai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rinus van Rooijen came out of the goal and Patrik Radnai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Hans Stuifzand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Temesvári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, John Carew had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rinus van Rooijen. Sas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John Carew was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Rinus van Rooijen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dávid Fenyvesi in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Patrik Radnai made a precise shot to the right of Rinus van Rooijen. Sas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 35th minute, Patrik Radnai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rinus van Rooijen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. If Dávid Fenyvesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41st minute, John Carew made a precise shot to the right of Rinus van Rooijen. Sas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Rinus van Rooijen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Carew, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rinus van Rooijen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Carew in the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sas's zone, John Carew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rinus van Rooijen came out of the goal and John Carew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogier van Bronckhorst hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Carew in the 80th minute of play forced Sas's goalkeeper Rinus van Rooijen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Sas's goal looked a bit too open when Csaba Tisza came free, but Rinus van Rooijen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Szittyák SE rege fully deserved thier win.
