Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ferdi Reis got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Ferdi Reis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Borussia Dortmund's Dieter Eberle. Dieter Eberle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 7 minutes, Ferdi Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Springplank FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdi Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Muhammet Cakir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Wolf Hanselmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jari Litmanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdi Reis in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dieter Eberle saved Borussia Dortmund from getting behind. Ferdi Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dieter Eberle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferdi Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. Sunday Oliseh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Muhammet Cakir. Okan Wagner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jim Kamps made a huge save. Jari Litmanen struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Dieter Eberle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Springplank FC. In the 33rd match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wolf Hanselmann to maneuver through the defense. Ferdi Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dieter Eberle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferdi Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. Jim Kamps made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pius Zurflüh in the 37th minute. Jari Litmanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Reis in the 47th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Dieter Eberle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Springplank FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Konrad Cakir made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Ferdi Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 minutes of play, Borussia Dortmund's Konrad Cakir made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Kamps was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Borussia Dortmund's Dieter Eberle got control of the ball when Jari Litmanen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jari Litmanen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Springplank FC's Ferdi Reis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dieter Eberle. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. Sunday Oliseh hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Ferdi Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Dieter Eberle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Springplank FC's Sunday Oliseh got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Borussia Dortmund's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stephan Vandewalle fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dieter Eberle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freek Reitsema, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over Springplank FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Borussia Dortmund throughout the match.
