Olgierd Wozniak started the match with the kick off. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Steuckens having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Robert Balla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olgierd Wozniak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robin Wörns. Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. La masia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Uwe Kuinke scored to the left of an out of position Patrick Steuckens, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when La masia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bobby Elzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Loid Van Hoeij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Wörns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick Steuckens was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Torben Scherrer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Torben Scherrer really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Julius-Lasse Eichenauer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Uwe Kuinke came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Poli Timisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uwe Kuinke couldn't finish the play. Robin Wörns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Wozniak in the 67th minute of play. Patrick Steuckens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julius-Lasse Eichenauer in the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, La masia's goal looked a bit too open when Julius-Lasse Eichenauer came free, but Patrick Steuckens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th match minute, La masia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneel Deckers to maneuver through the defense.
