Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hendrik-Jan Goddez got the match started through his kick off. Dean Van Boekost hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 8th match minute, Forza Heppenbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustijn Luytens to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Christian Verengen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Verengen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siebe Dejonghe in the 15th minute of play forced Forza Heppenbach's goalkeeper Ludo Verstraeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siebe Dejonghe took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ludo Verstraeten. Ludo Verstraeten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Forza Heppenbach getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Guust de Pelsmaekers hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes Genk got a freekick which was hit by Dean Van Boekost. Forza Heppenbach's Ludo Verstraeten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levi Van Laeck in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Forza Heppenbach's zone, Dyllan Vandenberge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludo Verstraeten came out of the goal and Dyllan Vandenberge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ludo Verstraeten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siebe Dejonghe in the 36th minute of the match. Johny Van der Borght kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Siebe Dejonghe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludo Verstraeten was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Nic Uytterhaegen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hendrik-Jan Goddez in the 40th minute. Ludo Verstraeten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siebe Dejonghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Forza Heppenbach defense, Siebe Dejonghe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ludo Verstraeten. The Forza Heppenbach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ludo Verstraeten should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johny Van der Borght during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Forza Heppenbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johny Van der Borght to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Siebe Dejonghe made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Dyllan Vandenberge took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ludo Verstraeten to make any attempt to save it. Siebe Dejonghe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludo Verstraeten having to interfere. Ludo Verstraeten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dyllan Vandenberge in the 61st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Dyllan Vandenberge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ludo Verstraeten. That made the score 0-5 in the 65 minute of play. The throw-in from Dean Van Boekost in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Forza Heppenbach's Augustijn Luytens. Nic Uytterhaegen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hendrik-Jan Goddez in the 71st minute of the match. When Dyllan Vandenberge came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Genk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dyllan Vandenberge couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Johny Van der Borght hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dyllan Vandenberge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludo Verstraeten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levi Van Laeck in the 82nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Ludo Verstraeten successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dean Van Boekost struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ludo Verstraeten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genk. When the final whistle sounded Genk left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Forza Heppenbach.
