The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 12 minutes into the game, Ilko Tilov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Klaus Oelaerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 16 played minutes Twierdza Osowiec got a freekick which was hit by Arnout Van der Goten. Ilko Tilov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geno Hadzhipetrov in the 20th minute of play forced Twierdza Osowiec's goalkeeper Klaus Oelaerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Jeremie Hendrickx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beloslav Amzin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Twierdza Osowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Tzocho Vardzhiyski came free, but Klaus Oelaerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Twierdza Osowiec's zone, Tzocho Vardzhiyski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Oelaerts came out of the goal and Tzocho Vardzhiyski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Tzocho Vardzhiyski notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Twierdza Osowiec's Klaus Oelaerts. Klaus Oelaerts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Beloslav Amzin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremie Hendrickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 88th minute, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Tzocho Vardzhiyski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Klaus Oelaerts. Klaus Oelaerts yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 94th minute of the match, Ilko Tilov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Klaus Oelaerts was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Twierdza Osowiec's Klaus Oelaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tzocho Vardzhiyski in the 95th minute of play. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
