In the 2nd minute, Gillis Lembrechts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vute Baliev. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzo Ivanov in the 6th minute of play forced KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Artur Sterckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th match minute, KV Schoonwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Ahlqvist to maneuver through the defense. Benedict Moreau charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedict Moreau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of DARAS booed when KV Schoonwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedict Moreau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antim Karamanski hit a great ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Gillis Lembrechts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KV Schoonwater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gillis Lembrechts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzo Ivanov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
